Marks are orange or yellow inflatable buoys
W = Windward Mark;
L = Leeward Mark;
P = Pin end of the Start/Finish line
O = Offset Mark
M = Limit Mark: note it is shown slightly below the line but could be slightly above it;
S = Signal Boat
START between S and P: leave the Limit Mark M to starboard when starting.
FINISH between S and P; or between an RC boat and a Mark if the course is shortened.
Leave all turning marks to Port except Course #4 where P is left to Starboard or S to Port.
A race may be shortened at any Mark by any RC boat by displaying the blue flag and code flag S: then finish between the RC boat and that Mark. For Course #2 and #4 the race can be shortened after the first lap at the start-finish line.
For Course #2 you must cross the start-finish line after rounding L the first time. Those failing to do so shall be
scored DNF without a hearing.
