Saturday & Sunday June 7-8, 2025

This is the fifth year of a two-day race/adventure around Harstine Island starting and finishing at Boston Harbor with an overnight stay at Jarrell’s Cove State Park.  Open to boats 20 feet or less with no fixed keel with only wind or human power (penalty for using a motor). There is limited space to shuttle camp gear to and from Jarrell’s Cove. No handicaps, the vessel with the least time for both days is the winner.

The initial cost for the captain and vessel includes a hamburger dinner, breakfast snacks, T-shirt, gorgeous scenery, and a chance to sleep on your boat or in your tent on the ground.  An additional fee for the crew includes meals and camping, with the option of purchasing a Harstine GT Tee designed by one of our local dinghy sailors. 15 boat limit.

The Island Series of SSSS sailboat races features 4 different courses designed to circumnavigate some of the numerous islands in the south Puget Sound. These races are held on Saturdays, with the 1st start at 9:35 am. Be prepared for almost any weather condition- light wind, strong wind, wet, and/or cold (sometimes even a warm sunny day with good winds).

2024 Fall Series Race Results

Race Results

Fall Series Races are longer buoy races in Budd Inlet. The first race starts at 12:00pm. All Skippers must be current members of a recognized yacht club and have paid their racing fees to the SSSS Club. All sailboats participating must have a PHRF rating or a temporary Club rating. All racers must check in before the race with the Race Committee and must call in to the RC Boat if they withdraw before the finish line.

The Sailing Instructions state that everyone needs to have a handicap in order to race. We strongly encourage you to obtain an official PHRF handicap to race, however, if you only want to get a SSSS Club handicap, we can calculate one for you.
