How to Read Course Tables:
Determine the mark the race starts from; this is where the committee boat is anchored. The RC boat will be flying a square blue flag with the letters RC in red on it. It will be race mark 4, 5, R, or T. For mark locations and descriptions refer to the back cover of the Handbook.
Find the list of courses that start from that mark. Note the colored flags displayed by the RC boat. Match said color combination to the list of courses that start from that mark. Read the course on that line.
Flags: Read flags top-down, fore-to-aft if on the boom. B = Black G = Green O = Orange Y = Yellow Round Marks in the order shown. All marks are left to port unless bolded, then round to starboard.
