So far this year two boats have turned in Dash times. We had only two entries all of last year. Gayle Force made a run in May, as reported in the June S-t-S. Over the summer the Kloppels took their Laser II around the island in 2 hours 30 minutes and 36 seconds, correcting to 1:40:33. This is about a minute faster than Gayle Force and about seven minutes slower than last year’s winner, Still Gladiator. So you know it can be beaten. You have till May to do so.
The Andy Jackson Trophy is given for the “world’s fastest time around Hope Island” that year, May Meeting to May Meeting. More information about this award can be found in our Handbook.
