Thanks to all of you who joined or renewed your Memberships by November 1. The 2008-2009 Members Roster was available at the November General Meeting. I really appreciate the cooperation from all new and continuing Members that made producing the roster this early in the sailing year possible. A Supplement to the Membership Roster that includes all who join or renew after November 1 will be published in Spring.
The Members Roster includes an alphabetical listing of Members’ boats and a list of boats by sail number as well as contact information for each current Membership. Bundled with the Roster are a section divider for the new Budd Inlet Star Fleet Racing section and a new back cover that has a chart of the PHRF racing marks and a table of the distances between those marks. A big thank you to my Mom, visiting from Iowa, who helped me organize all the bits of paper into tidy bundles for distribution!
Also available at the November 11 Meeting were new section dividers. These have been out of print for a while; if you have joined recently, you may want to add these to your Handbook to make it easier to navigate. All Handbook materials will be available at the Meetings if you should find that your Handbook is missing a section or needs section dividers. Thera Black is tracking down new Handbook binders as well. Remember that Handbooks are perpetual: only the sections with changes are published each year, so binders are a good idea to keep it all organized and in good, readable, condition.
