We have a new page on our web site, a Members Business List. A link to it can be found in the Bar.
It is a list of Members with their businesses and contact information. To be on this list you must be a Member and request to be listed. There is no charge. Simply fill out this part of the Membership Form when you renew.
This came about when we found that there are many Members who want to know what other Members do to make money. Several of them expressed an interest in doing business with other sailors, possibly someone they know.
I want to add another page to our web site, a Marine Business List of boating related businesses in our area. I think this might well be a service to our Members. As web master, I periodically get e-mails asking about finding repair people who will come to the boat. I also hear from people asking about chartering on Budd Inlet or where they might learn to sail. I thought it might be useful to have a listing of those who charter, work on, or sell stuff for, boats in Olympia.
This list would be open to any marine business that
1. has a store/office/yard in the South Sound, or
2. that will come to the area to work on boats, or
3. is operated by a Member.
If you meet either of the first two, you need not be a SSSS Member.
But I will need a lot of help making such a list and keeping it up dated. Actually I need a little help from a lot of Members. Spread the word to the people you work with that they can have some free advertising by just asking for it.

The goal behind the change is to easier access to the more detailed program information: the race instructions and charts, RC lists, etc. Things in the Handbook plus a few things. So the links to these were moved up a level.
The links to current reports and announcements, the race specific parts of the S-t-S, are still there, just moved down from the opening page. Click on RC Notices and they will appear.
