The green marker is the pin end of the line. As you can see, it was raining lightly when we crossed.
We had been moving constantly, if not at record breaking speed, all day. Then the wind gave out just before the line. As you can see from the photo. That is rain, not wind, disturbing the water.
That was all right by us. We had one more boat to catch and needed that one more opportunity.
But there was even less wind ahead. And the current was about to turn against us. My crew was happy to stop here.
