Going through my folks’ estate, I came across this from the OYC Annual, yearbook, from 1932. I thought it would be of interest to you and others:

O.Y.C. PERPETUAL TROPHIES

CHRISTOPHER TROPHY. "Awarded annually under such terms and conditions as will best promote the sport of sailing in Bud's Inlet." Hitherto this cup has been awarded to the high-point boat in the season's racing. Donor, Ian Christopher, 1931. [From 1932 on awarded for what was then called the “Squaxin-Hope Island” Race.]

TALCOTT BROS. CUP. Awarded annually to the winner of an overnight sailing race run under rules prescribed by the Sailboat Committee. Presented to the club by Talcott Brothers and made a sailing award by action of the club on September 2, 1931.

Ian Christopher, Uproar

After 1960 OYC had quit holding sail races. Fifteen years later SSSS inherited these trophies from our OYC members. The Christopher Trophy still goes to the winner of the Squaxin Island Race. The Talcott Cup goes to the winner of the Herron Island Race.
Curious about the winners? They are listed on their trophy: both the real trophies and the virtual ones.
