Book Review:
Rick’s Place
by Terry J. Kotas Black Rose Writing 2008

My wife picked this little book up for a Christmas gift at West Marine. It’s a fictional story about a guy who grows up in Gig Harbor and finds an interest in sailing. He has a number of hapless adventures getting a boat and then sailing it to the South Seas. There is plenty of retrospect, humor and adventure to keep your interest. I found myself smiling several times at the adventures of Rick and his, sort of his cat, Jack. The book was written by Terry J. Kotas who has plenty of cruising and living aboard experience. There is local flavor in there as will as Terry lives aboard Fantasia with his family in Gig Harbor. Its a quick little paperback read at 235 pages. I hope it makes you smile as well.
