Gudenuph Does Good

As winter ended, the found a number of projects to do for Kalakala. Two of them were small but troublesome. Our pennant and pickup buoy had suffered through the early storms last fall and though the hardware was good, the line needed replacement--which required a splice. And our spinnaker pole had a broken piston line. We noticed with new interest the ad in Ship-to-Shore for Gudenuph Boat Works that promised “Small projects done for free.”

We called up George Hansen, and he told us to bring the pennant and spinnaker pole out and he would take a look. We arrived at their place out Boston Harbor Road to find George and Betty. After a tour of Gull Harbor Landing and the new Gudenuph, we went back to George’s well equipped shop where he looked at our stuff and told us what he could do. The only investment we made was the trip out and a new pennant line, because the one George had was too big. Within a short time all was fixed--we highly recommend taking advantage of this standing offer. Thank you George for a great job!
