Video review:
Song of the Salish Sea
a natural history of NW waters

This is an educational video produced by People for Puget Sound. The plot is rather weak. You watch it to learn something.

It was very watchable. I enjoyed it, mostly for the images. There are good shots of plants, animals and fish. Some taken underwater.

The American Library Association named it a Notable Children’s video in 2007. It is aimed a kids at about the fourth grade level. So it is pretty basic. Which is not to say older kids, and adults, will not learn from it. How much do you know about our ecosystem?

It can be viewed as a whole, or in seven segments, each five to ten minutes long. After each segment there is a review, much like in a text book. They want you to learn something.
