October Pre-meeting Sessions and General Meeting

Our October SSSS General meeting will include a boatload of meeting pre-sessions, awards for the summer races, and tales from this year’s Race to Alaska (R2AK).

Our topics for the pre-meeting sessions, which start at 6:00 pm sharp, will include: Racing rules; Inspecting and identifying issues with sailboats; Line management and care; and Annual inspections – rigging and mechanical.

At the General Meeting we will honor the winners in our summer racing programs, including Stars, Dinghy’s and PHRF racers.  In addition,  Judi Kruller and Caitlan will tell us about their experience in this summer’s Race to Alaska.

Doors at the Olympia Yacht Club (201 Simmons St NW) will open at 5:45 pm, the pre-meeting sessions will begin at 6:00 pm, and the General meeting will commence at 7:00 pm. The meeting is open to SSSS members, sailors who might be interested in joining our group, crew members, and significant others. Free parking is available in the lot south of the main Olympia Yacht Club parking lot.
