2024 SEA Day
The OYC Clubhouse is reserved between 0900 and 1200 on Saturday, April 20 to host the annual OYC Safety and Environmental Awareness (SEA) Day. This event is open to all south sound boaters and supports essential activities to prepare boats for a safe and responsible summer cruising season. Activities include:
· Fire extinguisher service and recertification
· Collection of expired flares for disposal
· Vendor support for safety equipment and environmental cleaning products.
· Voluntary vessel safety inspections
· Information, materials, and support for clean boating practices including:
o pump-outs
o oil spill avoidance
o wildlife protection
o water quality information
o South Sound environmental remediation programs.
This year, the OYC Swap Meet will be held separately on Saturday, May 18. On this day local boaters can freely exchange the contents of their garages following annual spring cleaning!
